iTuna – Get in Tune

Start Playing in Tune!

If you own an iPod Touch or iPad, download iTuna from the Apple App Store.  It is a free chromatic tuner.  Then, at the beginning of rehearsals or lessons, put your iPod / iPad on your stand and check your intonation, but remember to put your iPod/iPad away at the start of rehearsals.  Be responsible when using technology.

Tri-County Band Festival Update

On Thursday, November 3rd RBHS will host the Tri-County Conference Band Festival. Schools from Tri County Conference will arrive at RBHS in the afternoon to rehearse and then perform a 7 PM concert that evening.  This year there are four bands that will be performing.  Henry, Midland, Putnam County, and Roanoke-Benson.

Students will be supplied a meal (thank you RB Music Boosters) for dinner.  Since we do not have enough uniforms for the concert band, the students will dress up in nice clothes.

The RBHS Concert Band will be performing selections from “Carmina Burana” and I have to say – they rock!  I’m really please on how we have pulled this song together in less than a dozen rehearsals!

I hope to see all of you at the concert Thursday evening.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me (home or school are both fine).
