"Outstanding" ... "The best ever!" The RBHS Concert Band and Concert Choir performed their annual Christmas Concert on Monday, December 5th. Audience members were treated to an outstanding performance by both performance groups. The concert band amazed everyone with the overture to "The Marriage of Figaro" by Mozart. This year, the concert choir brought back an old tradition of inviting the community to sing-a-long with the choir on Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus". ![]() RBHS Concert Band December 5th Christmas Concert RBHS Band Honors Veterans In a stirring and moving ceremony, local veterans were honored for their service to our gratefull nation. Two students from Roanoke - Benson Junior High School enjoyed an action-packed week at the Central Illinois Summer Band Camp at Bradley University. Not only did the students have daily rehearsals and lessons with local professional musicians. They were also treated to daily performances by members of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra. Fun was not in short supply thanks to "Mrs. Fun" who made sure all students and staff had non-stop fun for the entire week. Dr. David Vroman, Director of Bands at Bradley University, served as band director and camp director. Next year's camp will be June 19th-23rd.
