Disney Trip Webpage Added to RB Band Website A new webpage has been added to the RB Band Website. The link titled "Disney Trip" is posted on the left side of this page. From 6:00—7:30 PM on Monday, September 8th, parents and their children are invited to a Beginning Band open house in the Roanoke—Benson High School Band room. Here is two ways very cool ways you can stay update. 1) Use www.sendmerss.com to have updates emailed directly to you. It's simple, free and no spam! 2) Always connected to your cell phone? Then you need to use www.web-alerts.com and have updates sent to your cell phone as text messages. These cool high-tech ways to stay informed are both simple to do and free. Plans are being made for the RBHS Marching Band and Concert Choir to perform at Walt Disney World in June 2009. Information will be sent home with students prior to summer vacation. Please email Mr. Hayes or Mrs. Aupperle if you would like to assist in planning and raising funds for the trip! |

National Public Radio (NPR) has a wonderful music website. The website has audio and video recordings of concerts, studio sessions, and interviews of musicians from many different genres. All the recordings on website are free. Check out this website at www.npr.org/music. |

Important Information Regarding RB Band Students Purchasing Supplies Instrumental supplies (reeds, oil, method books, etc…) are no longer sold, on a regular basis, thru the RB Music Boosters. Parents are to purchase instrumental supplies online through the website of Kidder Music Service, Inc. These supplies will be delivered to the school without shipping charges. The supplies, ordered online, are the same price that the RB Music Boosters would pay for them, but the need and liability of the RB Music Boosters being the "middle man" is eliminated. RBHS and RBJH will continue to keep a limited amount of instrumental supplies on hand for those families that do not have the ability to order supplies online. These supplies will be sold on cash in advance basis. Neither the Roanoke-Benson School District nor the Roanoke-Benson Music Boosters endorse one particular music store. Parents are free to order instrumental supplies from whomever they wish to. Kidder Music is the only dealer in the area that routinely visits the school to deliver supplies. If parents have any questions they should feel free to call or email the director. |
