<p>On January 8, 2008, Specialist Phillip Pannier died in Iraq.  Phillip was a 2006 graduate of Roanoke-Benson High School.  Since that tragic time, the Pannier family has been actively involved in helping US Veterans and their families.</p>
<p>Pictured above is RBJH Librarian Kathy Fischer giving a trumpet to 6th grader Karly Pannier (Phillip&#8217;s niece).  Karly&#8217;s father, Dan Pannier, will use the trumpet to play taps at veterans&#8217; funerals and memorials.  Thank you to the Fischer family for their kind and thoughtful donation.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thank you to the 169 people who participated in the Geiser Ford, Ford Motor Company, RBHS test drive event.  Ford has to approve the final numbers, but to say the least we have exceeded our expectations.  Once Ford approves the numbers, RBHS will be receiving $20 for every test drive plus another $10 for everyone who test drove a Focus.  Thank you to Geister Ford and the Ford Motor Company for sponsoring this event.</p>
