Welcome to Mrs. Hummel’s Class

I believe that this website will be a useful resource for students and parents.  You can find general class information such as class rules, procedures, grading policies, etc, as well as, links to class notes and valuable study resources.  Another useful tool is the listing of each day’s homework assignments and announcements regarding upcoming quizzes, tests, or important due dates.

Please feel free to contact me with questions at any time.  Thanks!

Welcome to RBJH Ms. Allen!

This semester we are very excited to welcome Ms. Allen to RBJH.

She will be working with 6th & 8th grade Science students and 6th grade Math students.  Here is a letter of introduction from Ms. Allen:

Dear RBJH Families,

I would like to take the time to introduce myself and express how excited I am to be working with your child. My name is Kayla Allen and I am student teaching this semester at Roanoke-Benson Junior High.  I am a middle level education major at Illinois State University. I will be working in Mrs. Hummel’s and Mrs. Hecht’s classrooms with students in eighth grade science and sixth grade science and math.

First of all, I would like to share a little about myself. I am from the area and I am excited to be working in a community that I have lived near all my life. In my spare time, I enjoy watching television and spending time with family and friends. I am also a passionate fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs and watch many of their games when I can.

In addition, I believe communication is an important part of education. My e-mail address is

kallen@rb60.com. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns during the semester. I will do my best to answer any e-mail you send within a timely manner.

I anticipate an enjoyable semester at RBJH. I look forward to getting to know your child during the semester and working with them in science and mathematics.

Sincerely,

Ms. Allen
