Roanoke Benson High School Library

Roanoke-Benson High School Library has over 5,000 items. A member of the Alliance Library System, the library participates in inter-library loan via the SILC catalog located in First Search. Nearly all of the library’s collection is available to view on the Internet as the library’s circulation system is part of the regional database system, the Resource Sharing Alliance. RBHS Library subscribes to several magazine/newspaper databases (see link) and also has a collection of print browsing periodicals. In addition, the library also subscribes to a collection of E-books. The library participates in the Abraham Lincoln High School Book Award program, sponsored by the Illinois School Library Media Association. Hundreds of books are part of the Accelerated Reader program.

The goals of RBHS Library are to meet the reading and curriculum needs of the students and faculty and to promote and support information literacy at all educational levels.
