The RBHS Student Council will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, March 30th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
“Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. There is no substitute for your donation.” (http://www.redcross.org/donate/give/)
The second of three community meetings regarding planning for the future of Roanoke-Benson CUSD 60 will be held at the Roanoke-Benson Junior High School in Benson on Monday, March 26 at 6:30 PM. Optional tours of the facilities will begin at 6:00 PM.
This will be a two-part meeting. During the first segment, community members will be given information about a number of issues that were raised during the last facilities planning meeting, and asked for their input. The items to be addressed include the school district’s long-term goals, finances and funding mechanisms, curriculum, possibilities for district reorganization, and facility configurations. The first segment will conclude with a vote on how to proceed.
Depending upon the result of the vote, the second segment of the meeting is planned as a continuation of the facilities master planning process that began on March 6. BLDD Architects will present revised solutions based on public input, as well as a range of additional options for consideration.
Please contact Suerintendent Dr. Rohn Peterson (309) 923-8921, if you have any questions.
