School Cancelled for Friday, September 2

Due to the high temperature and high level of humidity, RB60 School District has cancelled school for Friday, September 2.  Below is an email sent to parents explaining the situation.

Dear Parents,

Due to high temperatures and high humidity, there will be no school
tomorrow, Friday, September 2.

Today we experienced two heat related health issues and for the sake
of safety and student productivity we are declaring tomorrow an
emergency day.  Emergency days, most widely used in winter for extreme
snow or cold, are made up at the end of the year in May when weather
conditions are generally more accommodating.

Information concerning extra-curricular events will be announced in
the schools and posted on the Jr. High and High School web sites.
www.rb60.com   Please call your child’s school if you have any
questions.

Sincerely,

Rohn Peterson
