The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has released the 2025 Illinois Report Card, and Roanoke-Benson Community Unit School District #60 is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its schools.
Sowers Elementary School received an Exemplary designation — the highest performance level awarded by ISBE — placing it among the top 10% of schools in the state. This recognition highlights the school’s exceptional academic performance, student growth, and commitment to providing equitable opportunities for all learners.
Roanoke-Benson Junior High School (RBJHS) and Roanoke-Benson High School (RBHS) each earned Commendable designations. These honors reflect strong student achievement and consistent progress toward the district’s mission of academic excellence and personal growth.
The Illinois Report Card provides detailed information on every public school’s performance across the state, using multiple measures such as academic growth, student success, and school quality indicators. Designations — Exemplary, Commendable, Targeted, or Comprehensive — recognize how schools are serving all students across these indicators.
